Biography for Dr. Mahesh C Goel

Dr. Goel is an accomplished urologist and kidney transplant expert with an experience of over eight years. Previously, Dr. Goel worked as Associate Professor in Urology at Oklahoma University and at Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma before returning to his family in Indiana. Dr. Goel received training from Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, University Hospital of Wales and Liverpool England, and Sanjay Gandhi PGI, India. Dr. Goel has worked as Faculty at some of the top ranking institutions in the world like Cleveland Clinic, Indiana University and Oklahoma University.  Dr. Goel is currently Chief of Urology at Institute of Urology and affiliated with St Vincent Health system, Ascension Health, Indiana University. Dr. Goel has published numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters. Additionally, he is a peer reviewer for many national/ international journals including Journal of Urology.

 

Dr. Goel specializes in the management of urology cancers, endo-urology and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Goel brings an international experience in the management of genitourinary stones and cancer. Dr. Goel vouches for holistic approach to cancer management. He thinks that overall outcomes should be measured by cancer control and return to productivity rather than free of cancer. His work on sexual rejuvenation after cancer treatment is remarkable. He has received numerous honors and awards and  he is recipient of “Best Reviewer Award” from American Urological Association and “Best Essay Award” two times in a row from Endo-urological Society and awards from International professional societies.

 

Dr. Goel is well-recognized in urology for his numerous contributions to this field, and remains sought after speaker. He has delivered numerous invited lectures at local, national and international meetings, served as visiting professor at many institutions.
