Stone Management

Kidney and ureteric stone is a common but  painful condition, and can be recurrent. Some patients are prone to make too many stones and make them too fast. These patients lend up in the frequently. 30-50% of the stone episodes can be managed conservatively and 15-20% need urgent/emergent care. Patients with recurrent stones will benefit from stone prevention protocol. This can help in decreasing recurrence of stones or decrease in pain due to detection of smaller stones.
